Community Involvement

As a local business, it is a priority for us to be active members in our communities. Currently, we partner with local elementary schools, family charities and other programs geared towards kids and families. We work with Homestretch, an organization in Falls Church that helps homeless families with kids get back on their feet, attain permanent housing and obtain skills to achieve self-sufficiency. We donate playable but unsellable toys to Safe Shores. It is DC’s Children’s Advocacy Center. Also, We help local preschools and elementary school PTO/PTAs with donations to their fundraising events, and offering ‘Shopping Days’ during the holiday season which provide the opportunity for their families to shop for gifts while raising money for their kids’ school(s). Customers can also donate new, or gently used children’s books to our locations to be used in local Reach Out and Read programs through our partnership with MENSA.  In 2015, we have launched an annual holiday toy drive to benefit INOVA Children’s Hospital; see our events page for details.
